about

"I have a feeling that Ric Gordon is another one of those solo performers who are able to get stuck in your head on a very, very personal level. This just a great piece of work for a talented artist." Merchants of Air www.merchantsofair.com/reviews/ric-gordon-busking-out

"The first three songs are absolutely stunning, they also manage to build up tension from song to song, starting in a nearly medieval context and slowly yet certainly moving from singer/songwriter territory to fully fledged indie rock balladry." Disagreement disagreement.net/reviews2015/ricgordon_buskingout.html

"The songs are inspired by the classic troubadour style, but with lyrics and sonic twists that show something i love in a contributor: his own perspective." The Modern Folk Music of America www.themodernfolk.net/2015/08/ric-gordon-busking-out.html

This EP was born out my busking away the summer of 2015. The first three songs are new and just seeing the light of day, while the last three are pulled from my 2 albums under the Prevrat moniker. The songs are stripped down to essentials, in order to capture the spirit of busking, while leaving enough in the arrangements for them to work as recorded pieces. Four are acoustic guitar dominated and two electric. All songs were written by me except for "The Death of Queen Jane," which is a traditional English folk song.
